This software is a video codec utility for Windows 7 x 64 that enables 32-bit video codecs to be used from 64-bit applications.

How to use Huffyuv on Windows 64bit ?

Some 32-bit codecs do not install well on 64-bit operating systems, and some codecs can not be used as they are.

In that case, you may be able to use by installing using ProxyCodec64 without using the attached installer .

Here, Huffyuv 2.1.1 is used as an example.

Huffyuv's installer is not compatible with 64-bit OS, so it is not recognized by the OS system and can not be used from 32-bit applications.

Therefore, use ProxyCodec64's 32bit codec installation function to register to the system.

Necessary items for registration

1) Confirmation of Four CC consisting of 4 characters that the codec uses (“hfyu” in the case of Huffyuv)

2) Codec body file ( “huffyuv.dll” for Huffyuv)

※ Please check for yourself about FourCC. Mostly, you will find it in the documentation that came with the codec.

 Select "Install32Codec" from the menu of ProxyCodec64 setting screen.

 Enter "hfyu" for " FourCC".

 Enter the path of huffyuv.dll, which is the body of Huffyuv, in " Dll Full Path". The path can be easily set by dragging and dropping from Explorer. (Please try to restart ProxyCodec 64 if you can not use drag & drop.)

 After completing the input, press the "Register" button to install the 32-bit codec on your system.

 Select "Yes (Y)". 

 When installation is successful, it will be added to the codec list at the bottom, so please press the " About" button and check if the codec About screen is displayed. 

 If you register or delete the 32bit codec here, please restart ProxyCodec64. 

 It is complete if it is restarted and added to the combo box. 

Notes

1) All the 32bit codecs installed here can not be used if you uninstall ProxyCodec64 .

2) Depending on the codec, setting contents may not be saved if placed in a system folder ( such as Program files). In that case, place the codec itself in a folder other than the system folder and register it.
